马尔萨什洛克-marsaxlokk 位于马耳他（全称：马耳他共和国 THE RPUBLIC OF MALTA）东南沿海马尔萨什洛克（MARSAXLOKK）湾的顶端，是地中海地区集装箱运输的一个中转港。始建于20世纪70年代中期，由于地处地中海的中部，地理位置重要，并有免税的自由港设施，因此，已发展为国际航线的重要港口。 该港属亚热带地中海式气候，盛行西北风。年平均气温最高约37℃，最低约6℃。全年平均降雨量约600mm。平均潮差：高潮约0.5m，低潮约0.4m。港区主要码头泊位岸线长约1km，最大水深达18m。装卸设备有各种岸吊、龙门吊及集装箱吊等。集装箱码头堆场面积达15万m∧，可堆放2712个箱位，并有超巴拿马型的装卸桥及装卸冷藏箱的专门设备。油码头能容纳12万载重吨的油船，石油制品的储存能力达17.4万m∧，每小时装卸量为2000m∧。主要进口货物为粮谷、石油及工业原料等，出口货物主要有服装、棉纺织品、鞋及杂货等。1994年集装箱吞吐量达38.3万TEU，比1993年增长32.9％，其中转运货物占91％。在节假日中如果需要，可以安排工作，但应按专用费率计算。 本港由马耳他自由港公司（MFC）监管港口的发展，今后集装相转运仍为港口的业务中心。马耳他政府将给予本港最大的投资，兴建第二中转集装码头，预计在1996年建成，届时集装箱吞吐能力将达100万TEU，使本港超过瓦莱塔，成为地中海最大的枢纽港。
