冲绳（OKINAWA）是日本军港兼商港。冲绳（OKINAWA）位于中国台湾和九州之间，由冲绳诸岛、宫古列岛、八重山列岛、大东诸岛等60多个岛组成，东临太平洋，西濒东海。 冲绳（OKINAWA）西南至宫古岛平良港约170海里，至中国台湾岛的基隆港约340海里，东北至奄美大岛名濑港180海里，至鹿儿岛港380海里，西北至中国宁波北仑港405海里，中国上海吴淞460海里，有定期航线至名濑、鹿儿岛、东京、神户和西南的石垣岛平良港；港区南北伸展，外由北、中、南三条防波堤保护，入港航道有南北两条，北航道宽700米，水深12－24米，南航道宽580米，水深20－27米。 冲绳（OKINAWA）港内有北港区，新港区和南港区三部分。北港区港池水深仅7.5米，码头水深5.0－7.5米，主要分布在北域南侧，该港域为军港区。中部新港区有北伸的水域，周边有7个水深7－11米的泊位，其中西侧的5－6号泊位水深11米，各可靠泊两艘2万吨级船只，其它泊位为2,000－5,000吨级。本港主要供远洋船使用。南港在漫湖水道东北岸，这里的那霸码头有5个水深5－9米的泊位，其中外段1－3号泊位为万吨级，4号泊位为5,000吨级船，5号泊位为2,000吨级，该码头用于客船和海货船；西南岸有军用码头。
