舒艾拜（SHUAYAN）属热带沙漠气候，盛行北─西北风。年平均气温冬季为12℃，夏季为37℃，最高曾达52℃，最低为2℃。全年平均降雨量约150mm，冬季雨量占全年60％。平均潮高：高潮为2.4m，低潮为0.4m。装卸设备有各种岸吊、可移式吊、集装箱吊、拖船及滚装设施等，其中集装箱吊最大起重能力达41吨，拖船的功率最大为3,089kW，还有直径为203.2～508mm的输油管供装卸石油使用。集装箱作业占地达21万平方米，码头规定超过40英尺的箱子不作业。
