Hamriyah港口从1984开始建设.在1986完成.其液化石油气装卸泊位属于shalco由Amoco的建设。码头的运营者为一家知名国际性公司。1997个杂货泊位完成最后一个季度，亿开始运作，其次是建设沙迦炼油厂的石油产品码头(SOR)沙迦海港管理局获得了海马利亚港从此全面负责他们的港口运营商。近两年以来发生了巨大的增长，港口泊位和基础设施。港口是国际公认的，已成为象征沙迦酋长国的发展和阿拉伯联合酋长国。港口能够容纳非常大而深的起草和处理各种货物的船只。
