恩贾梅纳 N'Djamena 建城历史悠久，为古代撒哈拉沙漠南缘队商贸易要站，十九世纪八十年代沦为法国殖民地，1960年乍得独立后，定为首都。面积仅15平方千米。人口约51万。热带草原气候，1月平均气温23.9℃，7月平均气温27.8℃。年平均降水量744毫米。
